Dear Stitchers & Friends,
Here she is...Our first Spirit Fairy...Spirit Of The Bride. She was stitched with love...AND DMC floss, Kreinik #8 Fine Metallic Braids and Mill Hill sead beads on Antique Brown and Metallic Silver perforated paper. The Bride, wings, bouquet, and butterfly are stitched seperately and then tacked together to make a dimensional fairy. I've also included an extra chart for stitching her as one piece on fabric. Click here for more information.
And FINALLY! The "L Is For Lace" block is here! You can download the chart from the Cross Stitch Freebies page.
The most recent freebies collection is a decade long (Ha!) project called "The Stitcher's Alphabet". I'm designing 26 letter blocks that can be stitched seperately or together to create a sampler...Your choice. Hope you'll help yourself to these little blocks. You can find the complimentary charts on the Cross Stitch Freebies page.
Hope you'll sign up for our Yahoo! Announce Only Group. Every month or so I'll send out a Yahoo! email with links to the current Freebies, new Brooke's Books products, and other "Fun Stuff" for stitchers.
Also...Introducing Brooke's Books Blog! ...And you thought Brooke's Books Publishing was a tongue twister...If you're interested in the machinations of a cross stitch designer, then, by all means, click here.
For those of you familiar with my work, you may have guessed that I love to draw almost as much as I love to stitch. I was using a pencil long before I discovered a tapestry needle. The two mediums seem to fit snugly together for me and I hope to share more of both with you in the future.
I want to personally thank everyone who has purchased or stitched my designs since we began in 2003. You are the reason for Brooke's Books and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sustaining such a fulfilling occupation.
My best wishes to you and may you have hours and hours of stitching pleasure.
Happy Stitching,
Brooke
